These updated books (well, updated from the '80s) have so much information and theory in the beginning of the book which, as an adult, is really helpful for me to learn before diving into playing the instrument. Since I have been a long time fan of Molly Shannon I could not pass up this book. This was the first Alan Titchmarsh I had read and I loved it. He is a marvellous writer, down to earth and yet insightful, and I loved all his reminiscences. They closely followed my own in many ways. It was good also to read of a happy childhood ...
