The disconnected nature of the early vignettes may put some readers off. It's true that just being a good researcher is not a sufficient condition for being a good teacher, but many of the worst instructors I had when I was an undergraduate were that way precisely because they were non-researchers. Maybe that makes it a great book. Great job Linda on putting together a quality book. I know now that I am responsible for my own happiness. However, at other points I enjoyed the pace.
