Off-Limits is the latest Robin Gianna book I've read and this quickly became one of my favorite I've read lately because not only was is nicely written by an author I'm coming to admire but its one of my favorite romance troupe reads, falling in love with his best friends little sister. I don't want give away any of the plot details, but suffice to say everything hangs together well logically and there are very few "dead ends. On starting Phantasm, I had occasional difficulties in remembering the back story and previous events, which made it difficult to get engrossed in the plot - a problem I don't usually have. None of the friends or secondary characters are ever fleshed out beyond being tall or Italian or plump, and, in fact, I never felt either of the main characters had much depth, nor did I particularly like either of them. I suggest that while it may be true that "everything matters," the question of whether this is a debut novel or not matters less than its quality.
