Some readers noted that Exit A presents a unique story or covers a unique theme, but Swofford doesn't really take the subject beyond the obvious.

This text seems to assume prior knowledge in automata theory, compiler design, and formal language theory which, if you are using this book for an undergraduate programming languages class, is not very likely. When eventually she did speak, she is so honest about the anger she expressed that we know we can believe what she tells us. It was also not a secret that she won a $50,000 lawsuit settlement. Some superb photos, but the layout of the book (one large landscape picture per page) is a little uninteresting; varying the size of the photos and not necessarily having a 'then' opposite a 'now', all a trifle predictable - I personally would have preferred more 'then' pictures, perhaps in the ratio 3 to 1, even if it meant some b/w photos interspersed with the colour ones. I've bought more than a dozen copies to give to Christians as well as folks that don't want to talk about religion. This one she has no interest in. First, it's not dry in the least. Readers will find the advice realistic and actionable with moments of humor and tough love. Michelle and Jim Bob do not just say that children are a gift from the Lord, they live their lives as a testament to that as they arrange their days to teach their children and to spend time with them. Together they take on the winemaker, who has sinister plans for that technology. Overall, I liked the book, and I really appreciate the Duggar family and their commitment to their faith.
