For all its wit and humor, 'The Fire Gospel' is a rather thoughtful little volume. Easy to read but with many helpful training tips. On my re-read list already and highly recommended. And I am extremely thankful that David Congdon has taken the time to explore and explain the profound truths that this theologian (as well as others like Barth) were bringing to public awareness in Germany in the 1920-40. Just as good as the others in this series. This fanciful and creative saga is suitable for all ages and is destined to be a classic. For example, very early in his novitiate years, he talks of spending time off at a "stately villa" on Lake Cazenovia in Upstate New York owned by the Jesuits, where -"We ate pizza, watched movies, sat on the back lawn in warmer weather and drank a beer while the sun set .
